Instaphone has been inactive for many past years. Recently in the meeting of PM Gillani’s Cabinet, the decision to auction Instaphone’s 800MHz spectrum was taken while following the suggestions of cabinet committee. A recent advertisement says in the local newspaper says that Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has informed the interested parties to prepare for the auction of 800MHz band. The venue and interalia auction methodology will soon be provided by telecom watchdog in this regard.
