Warid Introduces Warid Tijarat, SMS based buying and selling

Following Zong’s suit Warid has introduced its own Web & SMS based marketplace. Warid Tijarat will help bridge the gap between sellers and buyers hence eliminating the fees charged by intermediaries.

Warid Tijarat’s localized listings will allow users to find best deals in their localities. Users will be able to buy and sell anything ranging from cell phones & gadgets to vehicles and property. The marketplace will eventually offer localized deals and discounts for its users which will help promote businesses and events.

On its website Warid says, “Anything and everything under the sky that might interest you can be accessed through a single SMS”.

Subscription package and charges details:

Registering is simple, subscribe to your package of choice by sending “SUB” in an SMS:

Registering to Basic Package: SMS “SUB” to 8225
Registering to Premium Package: SMS “SUB” to 8226
Registering to Business Package: SMS “SUB” to 8227

Once you have subscribed, you can set your location by sending “C<space>CITY

NAME” to 8229 e.g., “C LAHORE”
