Rooney beats Carrick, both go to Manchester United Soccer School, Abu Dhabi

Rooney beats Carrick, both goes to Manchester United Soccer School, Abu Dhabi
This wasn’t an ordinary match, one had to win but last night’s final soccer match at Punjab Stadium, Lahore was a real conquest between two teams of same caliber.
Stalwarts of both the Soccer teams, Rooney United Faisalabad and Carrick United Karachi, attacked on each other’s post with all strength and aggression but after 60 minutes of tiring effort, both the teams scored 0-0. The match went into overtime and still failed to produce a result. The equally footed teams then took the contest to the penalty kicks phase where still a result could not be achieved. When the match finally went into sudden death, a momentary lapse in concentration by the Carrick United goalkeeper provided Rooney United the fitting victory they deserved.
With last night’s match, a two month long activity started by ZONG came to an end which started with 128 teams of young boys participating enthusiastically for a chance to visit state-of-the-art Soccer School in Abu Dhabi and meet a celebrity from Manchester United Club, UK which is a surprise so far.
Although, Rooney United Faisalabad beat Carrick United Karachi but Usman Ishaq – Executive Director Commercial at ZONG changed the decision and announced as, “earlier we had decided to send the winning team along with 16 other selected boys to Abu Dhabi but after seeing uncompromised commitment and extra ordinary sportsman spirit we have decided to send both the teams to Abu Dhabi”.
Both the teams had won the semi-finals on May 25.
