Huawei to hold workshops on 3G in PakistanHuawei Pakistan is a holding a series of workshops on 3G technologies starting from today.
The series of workshops will continue till July 12 at Serena Hotel Islamabad and will be attended by CEOs and decision makers from cellular operators besides, representatives of regulator (PTA) and Ministry of IT and Telecom.
Huawei Global team will discuss with industry leaders various aspects of the mobile broadband potential in Pakistan.
In 2011, Huawei, in collaboration of PTA conducted various road shows demonstrating company’s expertise in providing state of the art solution in the field of telecommunication including mobile broadband.
Up till 2011, Huawei has provided telecom solutions to 530 operators in more than 150 countries.
3G licensing in Pakistan is on hold, the deadline has changed several times owing to certain political and administrative issues on the part of government and the regulator(PTA). A special committee headed by Dr. Abdul Hafeez Sheikh is in the process of finalizing the mechanism in collaboration with Pakistan Telecommunication Authority.
