Ufone copies Zong second time

Ufone and Zong 100 pe 100 offerUfone’s TVCs are more than communicating new packages and offers. They are entertaining and humorous at the same time. In these TVCs, many a times they hit their opponents so fiercely with all the witty attitude they have that it becomes difficult to judge their extremist intentions. Credit goes to their creative people who are running the show quite cleverly.
But what happened to them lately, I don’t think they have got afraid of Zong so early which is now eyeing number 3 position in Pakistani Telecom market after crossing Warid Telecom few months back. Yesterday, I saw this TVC of Double Benefit…Double Fun, the offer is an exact copy of Zong’s “100 pe 100 Recharge Offer” that was introduced more than 6 months ago.
Ufone says,
The 100 + 100 offer will double the benefits. With this offer on every recharge of Rs. 100 you will immediately receive 100 minutes talk time absolutely free.
Whereas Zong says,
Zong brings you 100 Pe 100! Once again, you can double your talk time, only with Zong! Recharge now and Say It All, only with Zong!
Ufone 100+100 offer copying Zong
There are areas where Ufone did not fully shifted the benefits to its customers through “100+100 offer” i.e Ufone is charging Rs. 5 + Tax for this service whereas, no charges are applicable on Zong’s subscription. That means, Zong entire customer base was eligible for this offer unlike Ufone.
If any Zong customer charges his/her balance in partial amounts and if that becomes Rs. 100 in any given day (24 hours), 100 free minutes will be shifted into his/her account. In Ufone’s case, customer needs to charge Rs. 100 in one go before the offer can be enjoyed.
Recently Ufone also started location-based service that was also the brainchild of Zong in the Pakistani market. Although, Mobilink also started Location based service but Ufone has gone a little ahead with this 100+100 offer. Are they running out of ideas??
I hope the creative product designers at Ufone are not going to steal another Zong’s product in the coming weeks. They should stick to their quality work and funny TVCs they are quite famous for.
