Ufone continues its collaboration with The Citizens Foundation


Ufone Volunteers, to fulfil their social responsibilities, are aiding “The Citizens Foundation’s Rahbar Mentor program” in order to provide education to poor students. The Citizens Foundation (TCF) is a non-profit organization with a highly professional and competitive management. Its main aim is to improve the education standard of Pakistan as well as it wants to develop youth and make it responsible and productive members of society. Cities that are especially focused under the Rahbar Mentor program are Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi. TCF has completed 7 cycles in these cities up to now. During these seven cycles, 3500 students got support from 800 volunteer mentors that had come from all walks of life.
To continue its collaboration with TCF, Ufone recently arranged an interactive workshop which was attended by many Ufone employees. The workshop was arranged with aim to prepare volunteers for the programs of TCF. Therefore the workshop’s participants were trained about how to carry out mentorship activities. Ufone in its recent press release has said that its volunteers have collaborated in several programs of public welfare in past. The company is well aware of its social responsibilities and therefore it will continue to participate in mentorship activities in order to distribute knowledge to the underprivileged people of Pakistan.
Assistaant Manager Volunteers & Alumni – North at TCF Tuba Mahmood said while addressing the workshop that she was glad to see the positive response of Ufone employees. She added that the CSR initiative of Ufone as well as other corporates would provide help in building a platform for those who want to work for the welfare off society.
