EasyPaisa got grant to provide service in rural areas of Pakistan


n an official release from Telenor it says, the joint venture of Telenor Pakistan and Tameer Micro Finance Bank, easypaisa got funds of USD 6.5 million from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for improving and expanding the network.
EasyPaisa is basically willing to make its network even more stronger in the rural and remote areas of Pakistan. The announcement of this fund was made in a press conference held at the head office of Telenor Pakistan.
The Vice President of Financial Services of Telenor Pakistan is expecting very good results from the availability of EasyPaisa in rural EasyPaisa got grant to provide service in rural areas of Pakistanareas of Pakistan and he thinks that it will also help to get better output from the socio-economic efforts.
The Director of the financial service of Gates Foundation also gave very positive comments on this grant and was very willing to provide the advance facility like EasyPaisa to the poor communities of Pakistan.
The basic concept behind this funding is that EasyPaisa understands the bad economic conditions of poor people in rural areas and wants to make its service available for those people as well. So that, in any kind of economic difficulty, they can get money from their loved ones without getting through from any kind of long procedure. People having no bank account can also avail the services of EasyPaisa.
