The Express Tribune reported that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s official Facebook pages which were hacked earlier have been restored. Around 30 pages were hacked that includes the official page of PTI Chairman Imran Khan, ISF’s own page and that of PTI Secretary General Dr. Arif Alvi.
Arsalan Ghumman, president of the Insaf Students Federation in Karachi told the reporters that after the great efforts of the members of PTI in US and Pakistan, the pages were placed back on Monday at around 5pm. As soon as this news comes into consideration that the PTI pages were hacked the president of ISF and other members of the party contacted the department of the Federal Investigation Agency which is a National Response cell on cyber crime and also to the management of Facebook in USA to resolve this issue. The process was delayed as there was a weekend in the USA and this makes the situation more complicated, but immediate action was taken on this issue as PTI is an officially recognized political party in the US.
Although PTI is very much sure about the identity of the hacker and sooner or later they are going to disclose this news in a press conference.
