Sony brings Xperia Arco S and Xperia Go, water proof android smartphones
Sony has announced to release its water proof Android smartphones which will be shipped sometime in the 3rd quarter of this year.
Sony announced it on Wednesday to release two smartphones, Xperia Go and Xperia Arco S, both the phones will run on dual-core processors. Xperia Go will be shipped with a little older version of Android which is 2.3 (Gingerbread) but Sony has promised to upgrade it to Android 4.0 ( Ice Cream Sandwich) by the time it is shipped globally.
wired.com reports that Xperia Go will target an entry level smartphone market as it is equipped with 3.5 inches touchscreen having 480×320 resolution. It will have 1GHz dual-core processor with a 5MP camera.
Whereas, Xperia Arco S is for the higher end smartphone lovers. The phone will have Android 4.0, 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, 12MP camera, 4.3 inch display.
The uniqueness that Sony is offering  is the waterproof characteristic along with the ability to sense your finger even if the screen is all wet.
Yesterday, we reported that Nokia was to release its water proof smartphones Pureview and Lumia.
 Although, Sony mobiles are not available in Pakistan through official channel but it is sold in the market through grey.
