It seems that PTCL has once again returned to the era when it was a Government controlled organization which gave a damn to customers’ wishes and satisfaction. Imposing charges of Rs. 1,000 for downloads exceeding 50 GB did not quench PTCL’s thirst of revenue, so it has decided to impose an additional sum of Rs. 5,000 if a customer downloads more than 300 GB of data.
So suppose you are paying Rs. 1,100 for your DSL connection and you download 300.1 GB, you will have to pay Rs. 6,100which will be included in your monthly bill.
Note appended on PTCL website is as follows:
“For Quality Assurance Purposes and to provide uninterrupted service to all customers, Rs. 5,000 per month will be charged for greater than 300 GBs downloads. This is applicable on 1 Mbps to 8 Mbps DSL Connections.”
